Babies: 0 - 3 Months

God is second in command to McCain?

I may be late to the party a bit, but everyone I know on Facebook that voted for McCain and many posts on here are saying "God is in control now".

What does this mean exactly? Since McCain lost, now God is in control? Was God not in control before (for Christians)? I guess I'm really confused.

So if God is in control, and "babies are going to be dying under Obama", then is "God" in favor of killing babies?

And God gave his people free will right? So how could he have possibly known the outcome of the election...he's not psychic, right?

Sorry just my observations for the morning.

  • I think you're reading too much into it.

  • That's just ignorance on people's parts.  Babies are not going to die under Obama and they need to get their facts straight.

  • How I interpret that is that god knew before hand who was going to win and he has a plan. There is a reason for Obama being elected.
  • Word.  Some people are dumb.

  • i'm a Christian and i believe God had his hand in this election.  it's no coincidence that Obama will be sworn in on the day of the 100th anniv of the NAACP and that his campaign began in the city where, 100 years ago, a huge riot is what fired people up enough to start the NAACP.  this is history in the making and God is right there with it all!
  • Ignorance, plainly stated.  And time for a housecleaning on Facebook.

I get your reasoning! I just don't get how those that were McCain supporters say God is in control now, like he wasn't before? IDK

  • I think people are just trying to say that no matter who got elected, God WAS and IS in control.  So people who think that Obama is going to ruin the country, God planned to have him as President all along. I don't want to get flamed for my beliefs, because I know that there are many thoughts out there, these are just mine. God still would have been in control if McCain won the Presidency and he will continue to be in control for the future Presidents of our country.

I personally am a Republican and voted for McCain but I am not going to leave the country since I lost. This is probably what Democrats were saying the last two terms when Bush was in office. Am I happy? Not really. Am I going to support Obama? Of course, he is about to become our President. We are blessed to live in a country where we have the freedom to vote and make decisions.

i'm with you on that.  God is always in control. period.

  • Uhh... God would have been in control no matter WHO won in MY eyes.

Nay, God IS in control, always has been and always will be.
