Gracie Elizabeth is here! :)

Gracie Elizabeth was born at 38weeks exactely...due to high blood pressure probs, etc. She was born June 1rst & weighed 6pnds 4oz. She was 19 inches long. My birth story below....

Was taken to the hospital by my DH on Tuesday morning at around 3am..because I was having HORRIBLE stomach pains and had been having them since 7pm. I was miserable. I was admitted because my blood work came back bad and my BP was 170something over something..(very high)... Turns out it was my gallbladder... but OB Dr. also wanted me to do a 24hr urine sample...

At this point- I was just expecting to get released and figure out the gallbladder stuff later- The next morning on Wed... he came into my room and told me "well girl, you flunked your pee test." We are having a baby today...

Wow.... "today!? I expected to go home today!"

So, I was already 3cm... they broke my water and I shortly started to have contractions.... I was in a lot of pain (and exhausted because I had not slept for 2 nights straight due to the gallbladder prob). I asked for pain meds...they gave me some type of pain meds...and it was instant relief... I was almost sleeping through the contractions... Then they came in to give me my epi... That was fine even though it took over 20 mins and 3 tries...I could have cared less ( I was still in heaven from the other meds!) So... anyway contractions started getting worse- and I started to feel pain- Turns out the guy did not hook my epi up- but as soon as the nurse realized- she got me fixed and I just waited to dialate more... I moved what seemed like quickly- and at 645pm (my water was broke at 10am) I started pushing. This was hard.. I thought I couldnt do it.. I honestly was thinking in my head "give me a c-section!-get the vaccum out! do something!" even though the nurse and Dr. said I was doing a wonderful job. DH, my mom, and the nurse kept piss*ing me off saying "Push! Don't stop!..Push!"- I was thinking "I freaking know! leave me alone!" Smile I was almost out of it from exhaustion and pushed and pushed. I don't hardly remember the end to be honest.... She was somehow (I really dont know HOW I did it!) born at 823pm...

She has a lovely conehead and we are working out breastfeeding. I am exhausted because iv had 3 nights of no sleep (I think I slept maybe 2hrs yesterday morning). I can't wait till I am released so I can get home and sleep in my own bed.... I can't believe she is here already!- She is beautiful and of course we are in love
