Finally Updating

Hi ladies! Sorry it has taken me so long to update you but I had my baby on the 23rd via c/s but things have been so crazy since then. It's a handsome boy and though he is now healthy we had some glitches along the way. He had some breathing issues and was taken away from me right after birth. After many hours I finally got to meet him but then I got very sick as a result of some meds. I basically missed my son's first 24 hours. Thankfully DH took great care of him and I was able to nurse him while sick (though I don't remember it, the LC did it all for me).

We went home a few days later only to have to bring DS back to the hospital as he got sick. He had to have the whole work-up including a spinal tap. We are all home and healthy now and I couldn't be more thankful. I don't want to go through any of that again.

He is beautiful and such a joy! I can't wait to catch up around here!

Congrats Pink! I am so sorry you missed your son's first 24 hours.. but I am glad that you were able to nurse him. I am glad he is happy and well now. I hope you are recovering well.

I am sorry things were so scarey! LO had to have a spinal tap also, it's probably the worse sound I've ever heard in my life. I wish they had made me leave the room.

So glad things are going well now! Do we have a name/weight/height???

I totally got your PM and brought your info with me to the hospital but in the shuffle that went way to the bottome of the list of things to do. Thanks so much for the sweet offer though.

6 lbs 14 oz and 19.5 in long with the cutest little chicken legs you have ever seen. My favorite part is his full head of hair! We named him Nathan William.

Not going to lie, I was totally dying for your update! We really don't "know" each other, but from what little you have divulged of your story, I am just so happy for you and your DH to welcome your son to your family. Congrats again and welcome back!

Congrats! I also had a LO that got sick and had a spinal, it was such a hard two weeks for us. But it all gets better! So happy for you and can't wait to see pics. Love the name!
