or zen japanese/cherry blossoms/pale gray walls

What color is your trim?
Do you have a lot of light in there?
Here is the bathroom in our other house.
It really is a light grey. These pictures make it look dark.
It needs to be renovated and lightened up. If I had my way I would bead board the bottom and paint the top a pretty pale yellow.
Shabby Chic would be my first choice but I like the cherry blossom idea too. I don't care for the idea of red in the bathroom.
I would do something simple to keep the focus on the tub. My newest favorite paint color is grey right now, so that would be great or I think a light blue/aqua would be cool, depending on the actual color of the red on the tub.
I'd do a simple white waffle shower curtain, and then find an awesome piece of artwork to compliment the tub color and wall color together.
We didn't refinish the tub red, someone else did LOL It's cool though.
We're painting everything - the trim will be bright white, floor will be white/cream/greyish. I'm thinking cherry blossoms too, DH had his heart set on the light so we got it 3 years ago b/c he's a dork.
I think I might paint the cherry blossoms on the walls myself, just a couple here & there, white rugs/towels, toilet is white, maybe eventually a black with white vanity ?
I'm making the shower curtain b/c the size is funkadelic. White or pewter w/cherry blossoms on it maybe? Just plain with fun tiebacks ? hrmph.
