"turn around, don't drown"

Says our weatherman when talking about water on the road. It's a catchy saying, but a little morbid. Funny I have never heard it before. I guess it's because usually watch my news on another channel.

  • I've never heard it. But I live in the hills. When we get really bad flooding everyone knows to avoid the low lands.

  • Yeah, I figured it was a saying that more flooded areas get. This station is broadcasted from a city with a river that's more rural. So I think that's why. Usually, I watch the news from the bigger city.

Same here.  They even have signs with it posted at low water crossings.  San Antonio has horrible drainage and floods pretty often when it rains.
