Seriously. I got nothin'. And DH is the worst gift giver in the world, so I don't even feel like trying. Rah-ude, I am!

  • D is getting a homebrew kit... from here

  • Did we decide what the male equivalent of flowers, card, and breakfast was?  Cuz mine should get that.

  • I'm thinking of doing some photos on canvas for DH (inspired by you, Miss Justine!). Other than that, probably a bottle Crown or something better and maybe some new grill tools or a power tool.  Can't go wrong with power tools in this house.

Is there an exact kit you're getting? I will get him the same thing so they can be twins. And so I don't have to think about it anymore.

I want to do something like this too, with A&E holding the D's and the new baby holding laying with the A. He might have to wait for the A for a few days....

     Plus a kindle.

  • I got H tickets to the Manchester United VS Sounders game on July 20th, it's a month later but oh well.  It's a dream come true for him to watch his favorite soccer team play in his state!

  • I am doing this with his favorite snacks and beer.  I also did the free fathers day card from tiny prints with a pic of him and the boys.

Dh loves Lazy Boy brewery out of Everett, it's a little place off of Ev. Mall way, they do gc and having tastings. <--just an idea since they seem to like beer.

  • I was going to do the "DAD" photos - having each of the boys holding their own "D" and the "A" together. But because I don't want to stress myself out I think I will go to picture people and have them do it or hire someone... lol

I was also going to go to paint the town and have a mug made with the boy's handprints on it for DH's new job. Again have the people at the paint place help me with the hand prints - because I'm all about no stress.

  • Dh will be getting a couple of cards and I'm going to dress the kids up in shirts that say "I love Daddy" or "Daddy is my hero" or whatever lame Daddy saying I find, camo pants, and baseball caps and call it good.  He's not a great gift giver, either, so I'm not stressing about it this Father's Day.

Oh - I found a Father's Day questionairre on Pinterest recently that I'll probably fill out with the kids' answers and put them into his cards.  Done.

Yup - They had a Groupon recently, thats what I bought it with. Here are the kits. It might be worth a call to them to ask for the groupon deal?

That is exactly what I'm doing. My friend gave me the D, A & Y letters and I just need to take the photos. They are best buddies right now so getting them apart for photo oops is tricky!

$64 for Home Brewer starter kit and ingredients (up to a $127.80 value)

The detail were as follows :p

During Prohibition, bootleggers made their own booze by burying grapes underground or catching moonbeams in a jar of water. Make alcohol the easy way with today's Groupon: for $64, you get a brewing essentials equipment kit (a $56.95 value), a steel bottle opener (a $14.95 value), your choice of either an Irish red ale, an autumn amber ale, or an Irish stout ingredient kit (up to a $25.95 value), an instructional DVD (a $4.95 value), and a $25 gift certificate for your second batch shipped from Midwest Homebrewing and Winemaking Supplies (up to a $127.80 total value). A $12 shipping fee is not included in the price of the Groupon.

The hops-hobbyists at Midwest Homebrewing and Winemaking Supplies provide equipment and encouragement to aspiring beverage crafters nationwide. Unlike puzzle piece of the month clubs, your brewing essentials equipment kit gives you everything you need in one handy package, except for bottles and the brew kettle itself. Ingredient kits yield five-gallon liquid harvests in flavors such as Irish red ale, a richly colored, aromatic quaff popular among home brewers and discerning drinkers. Autumn amber ale provides a roasty seasonal sip, and Irish stout sports a rich bittersweet brew topped with a creamy head. Whatever the favored flavor, Midwest's premium ingredients and handy 90-minute how-to DVD help to make consistent batches each time, aiding neophyte brewers in avoiding the embarrassment of turning out a spicy pilsner or bacon-flavored lager. Suds designers can continue to hone their skills using the $25 gift certificate for the next ingredient kit. Pick up one for yourself, or gift one to the discerning drinker or mad malt scientist in your life.

  • We'll do the DAD letters (our tradition now) and I'll probably get J to color a picture for him and maybe fill out that Dad questionnaire that's on my Pinterest. He did barely anything for Mother's day so I don't plan on doing much. If he had been "good" I probalby would have gotten him a photography book for his new toy.

    DIdn't you get him a towel? :)

  • How about a nice flip book of pics :)

I'm also getting him a BBQ apron that has a bottle open built in to it, as a joke gift.

  • We don't do much for gifts for each other any more.  It's always a struggle so we just don't.  I'd rather have a card where he actually writes something nice to me and then either time off from my parenting duties or a nice family day or something... so I'll do the same for him.  And I always like it when he makes an effort to do something from the kids, so I'll do that too.  One year I did a cement garden stone with a handprint in it from Ben.  I'm thikning this year I'll do one from both kids.  Michaels has kits for them.

I've thought about the DAD picture too... but I probably am too lazy to get that together.  :)

Oh and DH just bought himself a tablet computer thing like an iPad so he said that can be his gift.  :)

  • My hubs wants Chinese food from a long-time family favorite restaurant in Seattle.  It's too early to take baby there with us (or rather, we're not up for that, yet), so we'll do take out.  Add a card and voila!

ETA: What he really wants is to introduce his son to this place, in person.  But since he's too young to get anything out of it, he still wants food from there, just eaten at home.

  • We're going to a Mariner's game with his BFF (+his family), and my dad. DH is big into baseball and can't wait til DS is old enough to start learning. So, I think he's going to be all teary eyed being at a ball game for his 1st Father's Day.

Take the baby!  Seriously, you'll be surprised.  It's easier than you think at this age. Loud restaurants are good white noise and they often sleep the whole time.

This. Cam was a breeze at restruants when she was that little. And it was so nice to get out of the frickin house!

  • I would say sleep in but DH gets to do that every day because I get up and take care DD while I get ready for work or if I don't work that day DD & I go downstairs to play. Confused

Probably just something simple like a free pass to get a game or app or two for his iphone.
