Alright Ladies, let's feel the burn!
A few of us have been talking about being online workout buddies. We're trying to start up a check-in throughout the week to keep each other motivated and held accountable to stick to it. Today being June 1st, we're starting today.
Check in with your workout for today. Since we're just starting, post your goals as well if you like.
Everyone is welcome to join in, PLEASE PLEASE DO! I'll do my best to post everyday M-F to help us keep each other motivated.
(Edited for clarity, I hope)
Re: work-out challenge check in!
I will be doing the 30 day shred Jillian Andrews video everyday of June. My goal is to ultimately lose 30 pounds, obviously I don't expect that to happen in 30 days. I'd also like to feel decent in any sort of swim suit.
I'll take a "before" picture today and hopefully feel good enough about my "after" picture in a month to maybe share them.
The post with ~*~Amandabrown~*~ down there has the beginnings of the conversation, and Skroops' "30 Day Shredders" post as well. We're just trying to get a group of us together to keep each other accountable to work out.
YES PLEASE PARTICIPATE!
Sorry I wasn't more clear in the original post.....
My ultimate goal is 50 lbs. For the month of June I would like to loose at least 15 lbs.
Good luck everyone!
Did the first work out last night. BOO! I feel like I failed. But its a good feeling, woke up this morning a little sore. And H didnt do it with me, instaed he just kinda laughed at me!
I would love to join! I bought the 30 day shred video last week and only did it once so far
I'm hoping this check in will help motivate me! I used to run 3 miles 4 times a week before having DS but stopped during pregnancy due to modified rest and ultimately delivering at 31 weeks. I really need to start exercising again! I feel like I always have an excuse between working FT and wanting to spend time with DS but I know I also need to make time for me, even if its only 30 minutes a day!
My goal is to lose 10 pounds by August, hopefully its reasonable! I'm still 15 pounds over my pre-preg weight.
Looking forward to checking in with all of you!
I totally understand about not having time and wanting to spend all my free time with LO. The video we got is only 20 minutes and I'm going to do it right after I lay Simon down for the night. I figure I can make 20 minutes a day for ME.
I did level one of 30DS today. I also walked with the girls for about 45 mins this morning. I ate like total crap though so I really have to get to the grocery store and stock up on healthy foods and snacks.
I purchased the 30 Day Shred video yesterday and completed level 1, day 1 after DS and DD went to sleep for the night. I didn't think the workout was as bad as I thought it would be, but it was a great way to burn calories in 20 minutes. I used to work out 3 days a week with a trainer before I had DS and I can honestly say the 30 DS video has the same intensity. I am very excited about this and I hope it helps me to fit my clothes better.
My goal is to workout everyday during the month of June. In total, I need to lose 30 lbs to get to my pre-pregnancy weight (I loved my size at the time). I want to start by dripping 15 lbs by July 15th.
One issue: I have never dieted or counted calories, and I do not know how (I love to eat). Because I gained so much weight with this pregnancy, I know that I need to start. If someone could please help me by telling me their "doable" diet plan, that would be greatly appreciated.
yup, still Jillian, still 20 minutes. On the cover it says "JIllian's toughest workout yet!!!" I was like, um, Honey, that is sooooooooo not for us. But he wanted to do it anyways, so there you go.... lol!
I think we can do this! only 29 days to go!
I don't know how do-able this would be for you, but what has worked REALLY well for me is the "no white food" diet. Basically no sugar, white flour, white rice, or potatoes. Brown rice and flour (whole wheat) is fine though. I lost 5 pounds in one week just from making those changes. Only problem is I love sweets, so I don't stick to it.
I've been doing an upper/lower body split workout and have been getting into running. I haven't lost much weight but I've lost a lot of inches and have built a lot of muscle up already. Even though I'm 19 lbs over my prepregnancy weight I was able to finally button prepregnancy jeans (with muffin top but that's an accomplishment). And I'm counting calories on LoseIt.com.
I love this idea. I need major motivation to stick with it.
