Does anyone have the safety first truefit car seat? Do you like it? We only have a two door car right now and our Graco snugride fit well. Would you say the truefit will also fit well? How big is it?
I have it and love it. It is in my mom's Pontiac Sunfire (2 door) and fits fine for her, although she is only 5' 4". LO seems very comfortable in it - has more padding than my Britax! I would recommend it wholeheartedly.
I know I am in the minority here, but I hate the damn thing and curse it everyday. The straps are always getting stuck and just plain being a PITA. I don't hate much, but that carseat? I hate it, BUT I know it's safe, so.....

Really? I'm surprised. I have had no trouble with mine.
We have it and like it. My LO does fine in it. We have a 4-door Nissan Altima and there's plenty of room. I will say, it was kind of a PITA to install. We went and had it checked at a local baby boutique (to make sure we did it right) and they said it's the #1 hardest install on a carseat and that most people don't have it right. But it's fine otherwise, I'd recommend it! In a year we're going to put DS in the Evenflo Maestro, and move #2 from infant seat to the Truefit.

Oh, yea, I know most people have no issues. Even my H, Mr. Calm, can be heard cursing the thing. I am kind of thinking it may be our car. We have a Honda Element and with DS rear-facing, it is tough. He won't be FF until 35 lbs. and he is only 22 lbs. Oh!
I have it in my car in the center seat and I love it. However, we did not get that seat for DH's car because we have an Acadia, and it has the Captian's chairs in the back. It is pretty big and would not have fit really well behind the driver or passenger seats. We have a Roundabout for his car, but I like the true fit much better. I have found it is much easier to get DD in and out of the car in the TF vs the Roundabout. It's hard to explain, but it must recline back a little bit more or something because the space between the actual car seat and the carseat (lol) is bigger than the Roundabout. With the Roundabout I feel like I have to squeeze her in this itty bitty space to get her in. Also, she seems a lot more comfortable. She has more leg room in the TF. We have not had any problems with it what so ever. Sorry to rattle on. I really like it, but if you were going to put in anywhere besides the middle, you may not...
Is that the same as the First Years Truefit? When I googled Safety First Truefit, the First Years one came up - that's the one we have. We also have trouble with the straps getting tangled (mostly MH does), but otherwise we like it.

I think so. At least, that's the one I reviewed in my post.
We have it in 3 cars (sitter's as well) and love it. Although the way it sits in my DH's Sport Trac, it makes DD's legs hit the back seat even though she's super short for her age, it may be the truck and not the carseat. It fits great in my G6 (sadly the car, not the plane) with plenty of legroom for her.
