is a load of crap! LOL!!!
Logan is asleep right now. I would like to be asleep. But if I sleep right now while he is sleeping how am I going to: eat lunch, get his laundry done, clean his bottles and make more formula so he can eat again when he wakes up?? *yawn*
On a diffrent note... is it normal he takes an hour to drink 4oz? He seems to work really hard at it and falls asleep mid-feeding a few times. I thought maybe he needed to switch up to the next size nipple so I tried that all day yesterday. He drank faster, but also got a lot of gas buildup from it and spit up a ton and then screamed like a bull for 5 minutes. Poor thing.
Re: Sleep when the baby sleeps...
Ha! I'm totally with you on the sleep when baby sleeps theory.
And yes, it's normal to take an hour. I remember those days....
4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!
sFET 11/9/11 - Beta 11/18 BFP!
I totally agree.
But I've actually found that I feel far more rested if she is able to nap during the day, even if I'm not sleeping, but doing other things and at least getting some resting in. Yesterday Amalia was basically awake all day crying and cluster feeding and not sleeping for more than 20 minutes in a row and by 8pm I thought I was going to go insane.
I hear ya! I was usually able to grab one cat nap a day when he was sleeping to curb some of the sleep deprivation. It took me a while to learn how to re-priortize things. I remember thinking, I could eat or do laundry, and then decide to eat because food was necissary for survival, laundry wasn't. As far as taking an hour to finish a bottle, it is hard for me to say, because I BF, BUT... I seem to recall feeding on one side, changing his diaper, and then feeding on the other side and that whole process was about an hour long. The faster nipple was probably too fast, hence the gas. Just stick with the slower nipple and do things to keep him awake while feeding (I used to squeeze henry's hand and tickle his neck).
