these status updates on my facebook and myspace.  It's really sad how some feel about Obama.  I feel like I can't talk to my friends b/c we have different political views.  The comments are calling him the anti-christ, pray god to have mercy on us and very racial names....I just don't understand. 

Hopefully by the time my child is in school things will be different.

    oh my god- i was noticing the same thing. its really disturbing. i am an Obama suppoter but had Mc Cain won, I would have been disappointed, yes but not bashed him

    I just posted on my local board last night that my democratic non-religious grandma went and voted for McCain b/c she believes Obama is the anti-Christ. Further, my grandpa refused to vote at all because he thought there would be too many black people there... I can't believe this kind of ignorance is coming from my family and people I've always admired. It's sickening.

    I have seen that also- I am so dissapointed, and so surprised to see that there are really people that are that ignorant. Hopefully this presidency will help cure some of the ignorance, I hope I hope.

    I hope so too.  I was tortured in elementry-middle school b/c I was "different", ds is multiracial...I dont want him to go through that.  This was 10 years ago too and nothing has changed much.
