2 questions - help if you can.

1) Do you ask your pedi before using over the counter meds.  Such as gas medicine or baby tylenol?

2) Two of my baby's fingertips are bright red.  I think that I might have clipped his figernails too short.  Has anyone had this happen?  Is there anything I can do?

    I never asked before using the gas drops, but I would ask about the tylenol, especially since he's so young. I've clipped too short before, but she didn't seem to mind afterwards so we didn't do anything for it.

    1. Definitely ask. My pedi didn't approve Tylenol until 2 months.

    2. I did that to my son, and they said just put some antibiotic ointment on it and keep it covered with a sock so he doesn't put it in his mouth. It cleared up really fast. Like, by the next morning it looked normal again.
