my friend and i were talking the other day about how far technology has come since our moms were pregnant with us. there were no anatomy scans, or 3D sonograms, or ultrasounds (much less epidurals). we then got on the subject of what we would have been named if we were boys. hers was Tyler Marshall, and mine was Pierpont Alowishes Supulveda (according to my dad)...

I am a twin and if we had been boys we would have been Neil Edward and Kurt Francis. We are really lucky we are girls because we are Dana and Erin... way better!!

Evidently my parents were big on naming me after people, as it is I'm named after 3 people. If I was a boy, I would've been Trevor Micheal Scott, after a friend of my dad's that passed away, and after my grandfathers (Scott is one's middle name, I got the feminine version of his first name for my first name)

I was named after Laura from General Hospital, so I would have been Luke, as in Luke and Laura. I have always loved the name and that is actually going to be my son's name. He is named after Luke Skywalker though, lol.

We are huge Star Wars fans and if we have a boy we are using Lucas. We didn't even corralate the 2, but everyone asks if we are naming him after Luke Skywalker or George Lucas. We just really like the name.

OP yes technology has come a long way but they did have epidurals when our Mothers had us (I'm almost 36 and my mother had to have one for me). If I was a boy I would have been David Matthew.

My dad is Clyde Leroy the 3rd. My mom claims he insisted on continuing the family tradition if I'd been a boy, but my dad says he would have let it die. I am sort of inclined to think my mom is misremembering for dramatic effect, and my dad certainly isn't pushing to name this one after him if it's a boy, but on the other hand I've never heard any other possibilities, so who knows, really. I like my name so I'm glad I'm a girl.

i was just basing it off of what my mom told me...maybe because my brother and i were both born in a small town and they didn't have the equipment? she can be very dramatic sometimes

My ex did this as well. He named his only son the same fn & mn we discussed naming our first son. I don't think she knows this as well, but his family does.

Everyone keeps asking us if the middle name is going to be Skywalker, I'm not gonna go that far, lol. I picked it out before I even met my husband and thank goodness I found another Star Wars fan in him, but that is pretty easy to do when it comes to guys. When Luke gets big enough for a toddler bed and bedset I'm gonna have so much fun decorating his room in all Star Wars. I already have a Star Wars build-a-bear for him that plays the music and everything. I will make a Star Wars fan out of him!

My Mom told us once that if either one of us, I have a sister, were a boy we'd have been named "Benjamin". Which can also be said nicely in spanish. We named DS#2 that, so she was pretty happy about that. : )

We almost named our 2nd son Anakin. Although a lot of people don't know it's actually Darth Vador. Lol

If I were a boy my name would've been Mark. Which my mom hated because I have an older cousin named Mark. But Dad loved the name. Luckily I was a girl, and their agreed upon name, Erin has worked out well for me thus far.

I don't know what my name would have been if I had been a boy but I have a twin sister and we were born 2 months early on December 23rd and a few names my parents thought of were Mary and Christmas, and Holly and Jolly. Thank goodness they got talked out of that one. Our names are Morgan and Meagan..

My parents never discussed boy names. The reason being is my father said if I was a boy he would leave before my mom was released from the hospital after delivering and never see me.

Lovely isn't it. He did chose my name though which is Danielle.

I would have been John Daniel, after my Dad... my mom didn't know the sex before any of the four of us were born... and I think I was the only one she had an u/s with, because she had some spotting early on.
