Pregnant after a Loss

Re: CP: Rings

  • I literally just had to take mine off today (34 weeks). I was in church this morning and they got super tight and I had to put them in my purse. I am glad I did because later my hands got really, really swollen and they would have been totally stuck. I think the heat here is part of the problem though.

  • For some reason I can't wear my wedding band and engagement ring together.  It is too tight, but I can wear either of them alone. I never had to take them off with Ella.  But I am already heavier than I was full term.

  • I think I'm teetering on the edge of no ring territory, but haven't quite made it yet.  I've had one day so far where they were not going on my finger.  The rest of the time they've been fine.

  • I haven't hit that point yet, though they do sometimes get quite tight by the end of the day.  However, summer is nigh so the day may be near!

  • I started wearing just my wedding band the other day, fits better that way versus the 2 together. Sadly though with the heat and humidity kicking in this week I think my daysvare severly limited and that makes me so sad :(

I SSed because I'm also in the group that just needs to take them off when I get really hot-->swollen.  Which, unfortunately, is happening more frequently here lately with the bloody temperature acting like it's the peak of summer already.  :P

  • Still pretty early for this pregnancy... But I wore them throughout my pregnancy with DS. I gained 40 pounds, but my hands were never swollen or puffy.

  • I had my engagement wrapped but before I got them soldered together a stone fell out of one band and they replaced it.  It was a full size and a half too large but I wasnt ready to give up my wedding rings yet so I wore it on the bottom with the two correct sized rings holding it on.  I took off the two last Saturday but I am still wearing the larger band... so I voted SS.

I haven't had to keep mine off, but I'm early yet. It's been so stinkin' hot here lately that I'm sure they'll come off at some point.

My hands swell in the heat here, but it hasn't been that warm yet. In the summer generally I'm fine as long as their is a breeze or humidity is low or I'm in air conditioner. However, today it is supposed to be 90 degrees so I think that today is going to be a no ring day.

In general though, I'm still wearing my rings. Even though I've gained 16 pounds my hands haven't gained any weight yet.

  • I started to swell at about 19w, and they came off then.  I've gained a lot of weight in the last few years, so they were a little tighter than usual anyway.  Embarrassed

  • I'm at 32 weeks and still wearing mine comfortably. I voted for the 32-35 week range just in case
  • So far I have only had to take my rings off at night when I sleep. I have a thin band that I am hoping I will be able to wear the whole pregnancy.

  • I voted for before 20w.  Embarrassed  I definitely put on a few pounds in the past few years so they were already tight to begin with.  So, now, they are definitely too tight.

  • I had to take mine off before I got PG due to a hand injury that occurred at the end of March.  I was just about to put them back on, when I got my bfp and within days I got a rash on my other hand from a ring I have been wearing for years without a problem.  I don't want to risk having another reaction and having to take them off again.
