Who is rockin a bikini this summer?

Just wondering.. I'm on the fence about it.  My stomach would look fine- it's the dang stretch marks I'm worried about.

Dood! Not even close. Sad. Working on it though!
  • Nope.  But I have a hot one piece that will still bring all the boys to the yard.

however long the night, dawn will break.

I will. I hate my stretch marks, but considering I had a baby in there, they aren't too bad. They've faded quite a bit anyway. Whatever, I've spent enough time in my life hating my body. Right now I'm proud of it and I don't feel the need to cover it up!

I am jealous!! I look awful in one pieces..  I have no waist, I am basically shaped like a box.  No boobs, no hips.  I kind of look like a boy actually. lol

Good attitude!! Mine are light too, but there are a lot of them.

Part of me wants to say F-it but in the back of my mind I am scared what people will say.. and I have never been like this.

This is exactly how I feel. If I find a bikini that I like, I am going to buy it. I already had stretch marks on my hips from getting taller in middle school, so it is easy for me to ignore them.

I would like to but I still have a line down my stomach (though fading) and my effing belly button ring that I wore for only one month when I was 21 turned into a nasty scar when I was pregnant. So now my stomach is gross and I want to hide it from the world.

  • Ahahahahahahahahahahaha

Not a chance, I wore one last year because even maternity suits felt tight around my tummy, but no one wants to see my gut jiggling its way down the beach at the lake. I have found a super hot one piece at Target that I'm probably gonna pick up next week, though.

Me! Once I tone up a little more, I'm still a little soft in the middle.

I only had my belly button pierced for about a month too when I was 18-19 and I have a scar, it's hard and dark.  Strange.

Thanks! I didn't get too many and they're kind of low, so I'm going for it. I haven't worn a one-piece since I was an awkward young teen and I don't want to start now Stick out tongue

If stretch marks are all you're worried about and you'll be confident in a bikini, go for it!

Woohoo! I have some on my thighs from when I was a teen, too. I must have hit a growth spurt or something! They're really light though.

  • I'm wearing a bikini this summer. I'm not toned like before but chances are, I'll only be in my own pool this summer, nowhere public.

  • I am if it ever gets warm enough to swim here!  I lucked out in the stretch mark department.

I'm probably not going to wear a swimsuit at all. None of our friends/family have a pool, and Lake Michigan (on the Chicago side) doesn't have a beach I'd even consider going to. It's easy for me to avoid getting wet in public. If I decide to get some sun in my own back yard I'll wear a bikini and nobody else will have to look at me.

  • I think I will. I'm still on the fence too. I've been looking at tankinis but I just don't love them like I do bikinis. I might not feel great about myself right now but I have a while before it's beach weather here so I think I can get myself back into shape by then.
  • I wore one today!

    Ha ha, no, probably not!

My belly button became an "outie" while I was PG, and it never went back in, so that's my main insecurity right now. Well, that and just overall flabbiness, but oh well.

  • I have horrible stretch marks. They are light but there are so many of them. Dh wants me to ditch the tankini for the bikini but I don't know. I will wear a bikini when no one else is around. When we go to Florida for vacation I will only take my takini

  • I have already thrown my old string bikinis away. I know I will never have the courage to wear a swim suit again. Let alone a bikini. I have hideous stretch marks!!!! People would be mortified!! I would die of embarassment just wondering what people were thinking/saying about me. :( It sucks because I have a rockin body!

  • I'm going to try.

It's my goal to rock one at least for our cruise/early honeymoon in August.

I'm going to have to find one to fit the girls.

I'd be happy just to find any suit to fit the girls. I've been trying to find a tankini for when we go to Long Island next month and I can't find one to fit. Stupid small rib cage and giant knockers!

  • Nope, but mostly because I feel more comfortable crawling after LO in a one piece. I've lost most of the weight but I'm still squishy and don't want to feel self conscious about sucking in while playing with her (with other people around, obviously. She doesn't care what I look like!)

    I bought this suit:

It's pretty cute! I'm telling myself it's "retro" not "mom suit."
