Okay so yesterday morning I had my doc appt and Dr Ajala(kadensmama knows who she is) said i wasn't any further along 3cm so she swept my membranes. I went home and nothing happened...until DH got off work, then I started having wicked contractions. He suggested we try to nap and see if they go away or not. I couldn't sleep through them, I got outta bed and laid in the tub. Around 5:30/6 I woke him up and we went in to get checked out.
I was 5cm and having pretty regular contractions so they kept me. By the time I got to my L&D room and Dr Foreman came in, I was 7 cm 100%. The contractions were too much so I got my epi, (fully informed and not pressured, I'm very happy with my decision) At 11 we started practicing pushing and the nurse could feel her head so she got the doc in and I started really pushing at 12.
Madison Olivia was born screaming today 05/27/2011 03:11am (my favorite band and DH's MOS, lol) she has a full head of light brown hair, weighs 7.3lbs, 20&3/4 in long. Took to the boob after 30 minutes and some tears (from me). She is the most amazing anniversary gift ever (today DH and I have been married 3years). She's a pooper and an eater and a sleeper!
DH was so amazing and supportive, he cried when she came out and he saw her, he is my BFing coach, and I couldn't have done it without him.
Bad news is I have 1st degree tears, but I think I'm lucky compared to other mamas. Still, not fun.
Sorry about formatting on iPad.

Re: I have my outside baby. Pips to come as soon as they let me outta here!
What a perfect anniversary present.
Congratulations
She's tall! Can't wait to see pics.
Hope your tear heals quickly!!!
