A bit of a bummer day....

So, I'm writing this because I just need to "say" it somewhere....

I was bummed today. Every year me and the girls go away for a long weekend and just have "girl time". We rent a cabin each year out in the woods. We paint our nails, have lots of drinking, singing, and dancing and plenty of yummy food. It's a great time - we all love it.

Well, last year I thought that that would have been my last year participating - you know, I was going to get pregnant the following month and not be able to attend this year! Well, how naive that was of me. And now this week, we started making plans for this years get-away. I'm excited to be going with the girls, but part of me is really disappointed because its just a reminder of how long we've been trying and I'm still not pregnant. It just really got to me today. It's not that I wont be able to drink - just the realization that I wont be pregnant, you know?

Anyways, I just needed to get it out. No one knows we're TTC, so its hard to know how to express it to anyone plus DH doesnt really know what to say when I get bummed. So thank you to anyone that read this!

I think almost everyone here can relate to this, even if we all haven't been trying as long as you have. You never know what little "milestones" will set you off and bum you out.

I'm sorry it's getting you down. It's hard to always tell yourself, "Well at least I'll get to ____" as a consolation prize for being pregnant when all you want is to be pregnant already.

I'm so sorry Moose! I know how you feel, DH and I have been trying for a year now also with no luck so far. We didn't make plans to visit his family or go with them to Spain on vacation this year since we figured I would have been KU by now... DH family keeps asking when we will finally come and visit them (they live in Germany), I'm starting to wonder if we should just go. I hope that the girls time maybe will help cheer you up and make sure to make some nice mixed drinks! Hang in there!

I know how you feel! We are going on vacation next month and it has been planned for quite some time, even before we started TTC. I thought about cancelling it because I thought for sure I would be hugely pregnant by now!

Then as the months went by I kept thinking I'd at least have a little baby bump on vacation. I don't even know why but it bums me out. I just am still kind of surprised I guess that I am still not pregnant yet. I know it hasn't been that long, but before we started all this I just thought in my naive way that I'd be pregnant by now.

I am very much looking forward to my vacation and hopefully getting my mind off TTC for a few days at least. Smile I hope you have fun on your getaway!
