7 months old and not doing much??

my son is 7 months old he trys to stand with help kicks and moves his legs jumps like crazy when in his set but not even trying to sit up,crawl or even army crawl???is he just being lazy?everyone says he will start soon enough my ds#1 was already doing these things by now....im paranoid i guess....

    My LO is not much further along - he will sit up for maybe 30 seconds, but no crawling, and maybe even a little behind your LO on the standing thing. I'm not worrying yet, you shouldn't either :)

    My DD2 will be 8 months next week- no crawling, she tries to pull herself up but can't, and she doesn't stay on her hands and knees- she tries and flops right onto her belly. She is trying though- I figure if I keep leaving her toys at a distance, she'll eventually have to learn to crawl and get mobile.

    My LO started sitting up alone around 7 months, but didn't start army crawling until about a week ago.

    My daughter will be 8 months on the 1st and is just now really sitting up well.  She is also just now starting to roll...as in, prior to last week, she never ever ever rolled.

    When she is sitting, and not distracted, and you give her your fingers, she will pull up.  Other than that...no.  If you put toys out of reach and she is sitting she topples.  If you put toys out of reach and she is laying she rolls to get it.

    She seems to care nothing about being mobile.

    it might be temperament too. my DD is very hyperactive and is all over the place. i wished she'd sit still for a second. i'm tired. my dd started sitting up at 4 months and started pulling up at 6 months. now she's cruising all over the place at 8 months. enjoy him being not mobile yet cuz once they start, it's nearly impossible to change diapers, clothes etc!
