How to make a photo montage with music?

I wanted to make a photo montage to music for DD"s 1st Birthday. I have not a clue how to create one or if a certain program is required. Is there a website that allows you to create them?

 

As you can tell I don't even know where to begin? If you've created one before or know how to any advice or tips would be great. TIA!

    Dell, I wish I had a Mac though! I am sure there are so many more programs for them.

    I've been thinking about this too for LO's first bday, wonder if there is a website where you can upload all your pics, pick a song, and they'll mail you a DVD. Would be nice. :-)

    I do stuff like that all the time. I use windows movie maker. It should already be on your computer. You can do videos too. I made one for my little girl's first 6 weeks. It's pretty self explainatory. Just select the content you want, put it in the order you want and drag to how long you want to have it appear, and add music. You can do cool transitions as well if you want. You just add everything to your timeline. Pretty easy. I love it! Here's the video I made of my daughter with WMM...no pictures tho, just vids, but you get the idea.

    do you have windows? it should come with some kind of movie making program. check your start menu for "movie maker".

    Thanks so much, that makes it so much easier if I can use the Movie Maker. I'll check it out later!

    You can also use photostory.  It's really easy!
