How many onsies/layettes/sleepers of each size?

I know this has been asked a million and one times and it always depends on how often you want to do laundry. I figured I want enough outfits for two days worth of outfit changes.

How many of each did you plan to have in each size? I was originally thinking 12 outfits for newborn, 12 0-3, 12 3-6, ect. but now I'm thinking maybe I need more like 8-10 outfits for one day? Do you plan on changing an outfit every time you diaper change/nurse or am I just being ridiculous?

I guess it depends on how much you plan on changing LO. As long as the weather is nice and my house is on the warm side (like normal) I plan on LO hanging out in cloth diapers and if we have company then a onsie. Obviously we have clothes for going out but I don't plan on doing 8-10 changes per day if it's just me and her at home without visitors.

I'm going to have to agree with this. When I had my son, he was mostly in his diaper. As long as the baby is warm enough, they don't need much else. I would put clothes on him when we went out, or if company was over, but thats about it. Plus I loved being able to feel his soft baby skin.

  • 8-10 outfits per day is a bit excessive. I plan on keeping babygirl in a onesie, and only changing her if she has a blow-out or a leaky diaper. There is no need to change outfits every time you change a diaper or nurse.
