TMI Question-Yeast Infection

Has anyone had a yeast infection while pregnant? I started feeling like I was getting one yesterday, called my doc first thing this morning, he told me to use monistat 7. I went and got it but I have also been having some cramping through out the day is that normal? How long will it take to actually feel less irritated? I've only ever had one before and was able to use diflucan.

    I had one early on. My doctor had me use monistat but only externally. Things were cleared up down there in less than a week.

    I am hoping that is the case for me, we are going to my in-laws this weekend and I am hoping to feel better because when I feel gross I just like to be home and I am not very good company.

    I had one about a month ago. It cropped up the day before I had an appointment with my family doctor (referred there by OB due to my allergies), so she did the test and prescribed Nystatin cream externally. It sucked. It didn't do ANYTHING for me. I finally went back to my OB, and she told me to get Monistat 3-day (internal suppositories and external cream), and if that didn't clear it up to come back in. Luckily, that cleared it right up for me....I was so thankful! This was only the second time I'd ever had a yeast infection, and I would love to never have to experience that again!

    I had one about two weeks ago, and mine somehow got pretty bad in between me switching doctors so she actually just prescribed me a one time pill that cleared it right up. It was wonderful not having to mess with all those messy creams!

    My doctor put me on antibiotics for a positive ASO test (apparently I had strep a while ago and didn't know it).  As soon as I took a full dose I felt a yeast infection coming on.  I called my OB too and started monistat 7.  I have been eating a lot of greek yogurt and that really helped things clear up faster.  I actually only had to take 5 of the 7 days of treatment.  I didn't have any cramps with it though so I don't really have any advice for that.  Hope it clears up soon.

    Ugh, just dealt with the same thing. I had to get a root canal and had to take antibiotics which ALWAYS give me yeast infections. Monistat-7 was approved so I used it and it took the whole 7 days to go away. No cramping with it, though - I think it's time to call the doc on that one!
