January 2012 Moms

Made it home from Kenya!

After 16 hours of flights and 24 hours of traveling, we made it safely home!  The flights were really smooth and I only had 1 small bout of queasiness so I was thrilled.

I am so happy to have made it safe and sound with no bleeding or any other issues.  It is rather surreal being home.  It's like nothing has changed and yet everything has changed since we're definitely different people than when we left.  Anyway, we are so thankful that God protected us during our time in Kenya, He is truly so faithful!

Glad you made it home safely! I will miss having you in a closer time zone. I hope you find a good dr now.

Home will be Cleveland, Ohio.  We don't get there for another week or so!

Ondjima - I know!  I will miss that too!  It was very bittersweet to leave but we have to come back so DH can finish med school.  We want to go back and show the baby Kenya ASAP (which will be in 6 years but that's ok  :)  )

  • I'm glad to hear you had a good flight- I'm a little nervous about our 15-hour flight to the States in a few weeks...

"Re-entry" can be tough. I hope your adjustment back to being in the USA goes well, but feel free to PM me if you want to vent. I grew up as a missionary kid and live outside the States now as well, so I've done this a lot and I've done a lot of research and counceling for my students that I have now.
