I'm having my daughter baptized on June 5. Are you getting presents for the godmother and godfather? If so, what are you getting them? I'm not sure what the protocol is. Thanks!
Oh geez I didn't even think about this. I'm interested to see what other people say. Maybe a pic of LO and the godparents? I can't think anything too expensive would be necessary.
I didn't do anything special for the actual baptism day with ds#1, but on holidays/birthdays/etc. I give the godparents gifts/cards from ds. I'll do the same this time around.
I was thinking about getting a frame that hopefully says Godmother/father and then painting LO's feet to put inside the frame and writing "Thank you for walking me through God's path in life" or something like that. Then they can replace that with a picture of them together on the day of her baptism. Nothing expensive or extravagant is necessary to thank them, imo.
We are Greek and the tradition is to give a nice crystal vase or bowl. I got a bowl for DD's Godparents and will get a vase or bowl for DS's Godparents.
