Forgive me if this has been asked recently... I went through the last 4-5 pages and didn't see anything. If you had/are having twins, when did you go on bedrest? My doctor has already told me it's a real possibility, so I'd be interested to hear your stories...
Re: When did you go on Bed Rest?
I went on BR at 18.5 weeks due to incompetent cervix. Ended up in the hospital at 22.5 weeks. I was in hospital for 10 weeks for IC and PTL. I delivered at 32w3days when baby A's water broke. My girls were in the NICU for 23 & 24 days as feeders and growers.
Hope you have an uneventful pregnancy!! Just remember to take it easy whenever you can and drink lots of water
never had bedrest with my twins - but did leave work at 27w and took it VERY easy from then until delivery - i made it to 38w1d without any signs of labor.
i was on bedrest from 30-36w with my singleton and had him at 36w... so you just never know.
read Dr. Luke's book if you haven't- it will discuss bedrest, reasons for it, etc.... it's not always needed- but taking it easy is the best thing to do when pg with twins.
I didn't.
I stopped working at 33 weeks (really should have stopped 2 weeks before) and I "rested" at home but just bc my body was telling me to and then I had them at 37 weeks due to blood pressure issues.
I went on home bedrest at 26 weeks after blowing up like a balloon overnight. It was freaky. So borderline pre-e, I also had GD.
Made it to my C Section at 37w 3d with no real PTL issues.
I was never on bedrest. However, my OB pulled me out of work at 28 weeks. His policy for all his MoM patients. His thinking is this: at 28 weeks you're more or less the size of a full-term singleton pregnancy and he feels more comfortable if his MoM patients out of work and relaxing more at home.
I felt pretty good at 28 weeks still but was glad to be out of work. By 33 weeks I was starting to get really uncomfortable and it was all downhill from there. I could barely move, sleep, pee, eat, be comfortable the last month and a half of my pregnancy. It was ugly. I was induced and had my babies a day shy of 38 weeks.
After 2 years, Injects, PCOS diagnosis and 2 IUI's, we were blessed with our beautiful twin girls!

I went in for my 20 week U/S and they found my cervix to be very short, funneling and I was having contractions. Had an emergency cerclage and was on strict bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy (had another 5 day hospitalization around 30 weeks.)
I delivered at 35 weeks, 5 days!

I was put on bedrest at 35 weeks and delivered at 36 weeks due to high blood pressure.
I worked until 24 weeks. That is pretty standard for MoMs in my city.
I was put on modified BR at 28 weeks due to irritable uterus/frequent BH.
Was put on official BR at 34w3d, but ended up admitted the next day because my BP wouldn't go down.... and induced the next day

I was never put on bedrest. Stopped working at 32 wks. Now I'm home taking it easy and waiting to go into labor...
I also recommend the book by Dr. Luke!
Good Luck
modified bed rest @ 29w-for funneling cervix
hospital bed rest @ 32w for mild pre-e
delivered @ 36w1d
No Bedrest. Made it to scheduled csection 37 weeks 4 days.
I was at Grocery store and mall alone day before delivery. Only like 15 min from home though.
Modified bedrest at 22w due to shortened cervix
Strict bedrest at 24w due to even shorter cervix
Hospital bedrest for 28-32 weeks.
Strict home bedrest from 32-35w.
Had babies at 36w4d
32 weeks and still going strong.
I haven't been working for a long time due to moving out of state, but I am still swimming 3x a week, shopping, setting up the nursery, etc., all with my MFM's blessing.

I was put on hospital bedrest at 22wks5days when I went into PTL and my cervix went down to a 0.8. I stayed on hospital bedrest until my girls were delivered at 32 weeks. Before I was put on bedrest, I had no issues or complications. It was all of a sudden.
Good luck! I hope you don't have to be put on bedrest at all.
