i just spent 3 hours taking the one i got at my work shower apart! the girl used SO much tape and ALL NB diapers... it was beautiful but jeez it's taking forever lol!

Lol I thought the same thing and I had 3 of them to undo all put together with lots of tape lol

I make these all the time but I use soft white hair bands and size 2's for these very reasons. I also secure mine by creating a strong center with baby wash and lotion and then tie them around the bottles with wide ribbon. I received a couple of diaper cakes from showers and the diapers were rolled really weird and done with rubber bands and it was really hard to get them apart and lay them flat.

I had 2 at my shower. One was that way- awful. BUT my bff made one that used NO tape...it was so easy to take apart. The diapers were layered on top of each other, not rolled up!

I got one with tape and it was hard to get apart. I made one with rubber bands my friend refuses to use them (her DS is 3 now) because she didn't want to ruin it. Ummm the idea is that you use them. I'd have bought the cheapo dipes if I knew you weren't ever going to take it apart.

LOL! I gave up on taking the damn thing apart! My step mother made me 2 beautiful cakes with rubber bands around each diaper. My shower was April 17th and I still have 1 half undone!
