Are you kidding me?!

So since finding out I am pregnant I quit my main soda (dr. Pepper) and proud to say I haven't had any caffeinated sodas. I have substituted it with root beers from sonic Instead :) however, I just found out that Barqs root beer has caffeine, and guess what root beer Sonic has!? Barqs!! I am so mad and I feel like I've been tricked! And I am on my iPhone so sorry if any weird grammatical errors.

Re: Are you kidding me?!

  • That does suck but I'm laughing.  ;)  Hey, you tried!

My H is actually on his way home with my favorite pop-- Diet Dr. Pepper!-- so I think you should go back to your original love.

  • I actually wrote Sonic an email a month or two ago requesting that they offer caffeine-free soda options.  I never heard back.  Maybe we should join forces?

A rootbeer sounds awesome right now.

  • Barq is one of the only Root beers that has caffeine, it's where the logo "has a bite" comes from.  Bummer that you didn't find out earlier and you gave up your favorite soda.
  • I always got root beer with cherry flavoring, yum. So are cherry Limeaides caffeine free (it has sprite right)?

  • You got it. Sprite is used in limeades. Every Wednesday I get a diet Sprite with cherry syrup! YUM. That sucks about the root beer, one of my favs.

I am so there! I have to get caffeine free pepsi from the store to get my fix. Normally I'd excuse a glass of coke in a day, but it's been giving me restless legs and I'm somehow more sensitive now than usual! So yes, any CF soda that isn't sprite or some other kid soda would please me greatly.

  • Just for the record (such a bummer, I know...) there are some studies that say artificial sweetener (which is found in diet soda) is less healthy for baby than caffeine...
