Sleep Breakthrough + Food Question

After weeks of waking up every 2 hours and needing a bottle to go back down, Catie woke only once last night.  Instead of picking at a little bit of food here and there, she ate a hugehuge dinner last night for the first time ever.  I'd thought that she was an ok eater, but now I'm thinking that she was waking at night to make up for not having enough daytime calories.

How much does your 1'ish year old eat in a day?  Her pedi stressed what a small stomach she has and noted that her weight's been fine, but she'll frequently have four 8oz bottles during the night, so that can make up for a lot of missed food during the day!

Re: Sleep Breakthrough + Food Question

  • I don't have much info for you - my lo is a bit younger than yours, but I do find that the days I can get her to eat more she does wake up to eat less. I have even tried to get her to eat cheeriosvas a bedtime snack because that is one thing she will usually eat. I am lucky if I can get her to eat something at every meal. I'm hoping she starts to eat more, but we aren't pushing her.
