  • I haven't cut anything out so I'm not feeling particularly food deprived.  I've eaten sushi, subs, soft serve, etc.  To me it just feels like crazy paranoia to eliminate these things based on the teeny tiny risk from them.

  • It's always a big one on this board- Sushi!!! :)

  • SUSHI for sure!! ive eaten it occasionally during pregnancy but stayed away from spicy tuna rolls bc theyre raw. Mmmmmm Cant wait. oh and I miss my captain morgan terribly. :]

  • I haven't really cut any foods out so I'm not craving too much.  What I am excited for is being able to drink a beer while grilling this summer!
  • The only thing I haven't touched are two swordfish steaks my parents sent from Omaha Steaks. I've eaten sushi, blue cheese, etc. I'm excited to eat the swordfish and also to get it out of my freezer.

  • COFFEE. It's really the only thing I gave up. (And I know it would have been fine in moderation, but cold turkey was easier for me than cutting back would have been. I drank a LOT of coffee before.)

I'll go pretty easy on it since I'll be breastfeeding and she hasn't had much caffeine (chocolate, a diet coke here and there) during the pregnancy.

ohh, or can I say Margaritas? :) Definitely miss tequila!

This for me too!!  I'm more looking forward to eating things from back east when we go back to visit this summer...Philly cheese stakes at my parents house and clam chowder up in Boston!!!

I forgot about margaritas!! Thats what I want!! I've indulged in a few half-caf starbucks drinks but really miss alcohol.

  • The only thing I've really cut out that I miss is lunch meat. I desperately want a Jimmy John's sub.

Drinks, on the other hand...I want a margarita, a Diet Coke and some coffee stat.

My guess would be heartburn. Pickles give me the worst! And its sucks because its one of my fav things to eat!

Why can't you eat those now?  Or is it an aversion thing?

Not because of risk to baby, because during my pregnancy is the only time I have ever gotten indigestion, and these things make me ill. I don't really eat anything that I had to cut out due to heath of baby.

Lol me too.  Though I didn't have raw sushi...so maybe some salmon rolls?

  • A nice bottle of wine.  I've cut out most factory farmed meat and unsustainably caught fish, so things like subs and whatnot don't appeal to me.  I do miss sushi, but can't find a place near me that serves sustainably caught sushi!  Most of these things don't apply to pregnancy, but I do miss my wine.  I've had a few ounces here and there, but it's not the same.

Oh...okay!!  I was like "I've eaten those things throughout and never heard them be listed as a no-no!!"  I am loving pineapple and orange juice right now even with the heartburn....Tums have been my BFFs this pregnancy!

  • Sushi and the biggest bottle wine I can get my hands on.
  • A huge Italian hoagie from my fav. deli.. with all those horrible processed meats... and super stinky blue cheese.  And of course a nice cold Blue Moon!

  • I haven't given up anything, but I'm really hoping that my aversion to cheeseburgers goes away, because I used to LOVE them, but haven't been able to stomach them since I got pregnant.

  • Citrus fruits and red sauce - both get me so sick that normally I can't eat them.  When our LO is born, I'm going to have a HUGE pizza and wash it down with a glass of red wine.  Mmmmm acidity.

  • My only real craving this pregnancy has been liquor!!!! I didnt drink very much before but the cravings just wont go away, and mocktails arent fooling anyone. Margaritas, martinis, and beer, here I come!  (obviously in moderation though, since I'll be BFing.)

Specialty imported soft cheeses (the only reason I am paranoid about these when I don't care about much other stuff like caffeine, deli meat, etc is because my cousin actually did get a food borne illness from soft cheese from France that completely debilitated him for almost 2 years)

    Spicy tuna rolls

    Steak that's not well done

    Coffee (pregnancy adversion)

  • Subway and a beer. I don't do fancy things like soft cheeses and sushi. Will be nice to not get heartburn from just about anything though!

doc advised against too many peanuts in case it results in an allergy for lo.  cannot wait to have lots of peanut butter!  and a beer or glass of wine will taste awesome.

    Spicy tuna rolls

    Coffee

These two are my biggies!  I didn't really cut anything out, just things in moderation.  But, I cannot wait for more than just a teeny taste of a spicy tuna roll, and unlimited coffee.  I pretty much cut it out because I was such a big coffee drinker and realized it had to be all or none.

  • I'm just looking forward to being able to eat a full meal again. I get full so fast now that I never get to enjoy anything I eat. It sucks because I'll be craving something and then once I get it and start eating I get uncomfortably full after only a couple of bites.

I have a mental list of things I want DH to pick up for me while I'm in the hospital. Top of the list is a sandwich from a local shop.

And I'm definitely downing a beer when I get home.

I'm looking forward to being able to eat and then lay down on the couch without terrible heartburn!

Also, I miss coffee.  The decaf around here is crap...  Yes, I have coffee on occasion, but I try not to have it too often.  Today, I was too sick of the decaf options, so I went to Starbuck's and got a decaf latte - $4.50!!!   ugh!!!

  • Lox...on a sesame bagel with cream cheese, lettuce, tomato and capers. And raw oysters. Sushi. Diet coke. Medium rare steak. Iced coffee. A cocktail.

I stopped eating lots of stuff while I was pregnant.

  • I don't drink coffee, alcohol or eat raw fish and I've not seen fit to 'cut out' any of the others that some are concerned about (i.e. lunch meat), so nothing really.

I DID used to drink the occassional red bull and I've not had one since being pg.  Maybe one of those? (though I'm trying to stay away from them anyhow haha)
