Prominent pubic bone

So today at my 40w1d appointment my doctor mentions that I have a prominent pubic bone and it seems like that might be why LO is not dropping and therefore I am not progressing. She also said it means that a vaginal birth might be difficult because the baby might not be able to get past the bone.  I'm kinda bummed by all this news.

Does anyone have experience with this same issue?

    I don't know if I have a prominent pubic bone but my LO's head was stuck on my pubic bone during birth and it took a while to push her past it but she made it and I only had a 2nd degree tear! Hope it works out for you!
