Ouch! DS just about bit my nipple off earlier.

i swear that's what it felt like.  my farkin' nipple is still throbbing.  he's ready to eat again but i have to admit i'm feeling more than a little gun shy.  how is it possible that such a peanut has 6 teeth already.

    6 teeth already?  wow, Ava has none.  I swear she is teething, but nothing is coming through.

    He gets a finger thunk square on the cheek when he bites.

    Works for us.

    I hope you fare better next feeding.  It sux to dread nursing....

    i haven't thunked him yet, but if he does it again he will be getting a light one.  i yelped this time, and it scared him so much he started crying. maybe i scared the biting outta him.

    I hear ya.

    The resulting cry when they realize you're upset breaks my heart but.....

    weaning would break my heart more so I put up with the cry.

    I hate it though.  When I gasp and don't thunk it's always that shocked wide-eyed look accompanied by the 2 second pause followed by the gasping full on wail.

    ......

    now I want to go home and hold Jace.

    Love that picture in your siggy!  Too cute!  I can't believe your guy has 6 teeth!  My DD didn't get any till she was about 10 months or so!  That's amazing!  And scary!

    My DD used to bite me and then laugh ... even before she had teeth.  And boy, did it hurt!  I tried everything, thunking, stopping and lecturing ... everything.  Nothing stopped her.  And she STILL has that twisted sense of humor. 

    I feel for you, hon.  Boy.  Nothing like a throbbing nipple.

    I feel your pain. Miranda had 8 teeth by 6 months (now she has 11). I didn't seem to find a method that worked to fully stop the biting, but I hope you do!

     ... and, that's when I started pumping.  The kid doesn't even have teeth yet! But he chomped on me once and that induced enough pain to put down the boob and grab the medela!  Smile
