I've been sleeping without one. It feels better for me to have just my nightgown on (since I wear my nursing tanks all day). I keep seeing "sleep bras" and wonder if there is any benefit besides that it makes moms more comfortable. Is it a "whatever works" for you type of thing? Or is there a benefit of a nursing bra?

Re: stupid question, but should you sleep in a nursing bra?
Yup. I frequently soak through at some point during the night, so I wear one to hold pads in place because otherwise the sheets would need changing.
I also hate sleeping in a bra so I sleep on one of these to keep the sheets safe. I bought several and wash each day.

Ditto about the leaking. I usually just wear a nursing tank to bed now, but in the beginning when I was engorged I wore the sleep bra b/c it was more comfortable. I think I got a plugged duct from sleeping in the tank too soon.
P.S. Your dogs' names crack me up!
I have a wireless sports nursing bra from destination maternity. I leak less when I have on a bra and it also keeps the pads in place. Also when engorged my poor breasts are over an F cup so support helps.
I'll also wear a shelf bra tank sometimes if I want the girls to breath a little but I find I leak more often that way.
