double dilemma

dilemma one: as of this past weekend, I think I have a blocked duct because my breast is hard and lumpy (engorged like) and I'm barely able to pump anything but it comes and goes... I should probably call the Doc

 dilemma two:  finding daycare is a nightmare.  I went back to work a month ago, but I'm a teacher so my parents are watching DS until the en of this school year.  I am trying to find a home daycare in MN starting in August and I am having no luck

    Have you tried the local board on here?

    Or checked out Craiglist? A lot of in home daycare mom's advertise on there.

    one: if you feel like you are lumpy and engorged and just pumping, not nursing, check and maybe replace the valve on your pump. I ended up with the same problem and I just needed a new valve for one side (may not matter if it is still blocked while nursing!)

    two: have you tried care.com? I used care.com (bought a one month membership) to post my part time nannying job for my son and I got about 40 responses- about 30 of which were stay at home moms offering in home daycare.

    Where in MN are you?  The woman I take DD to may be looking for another infant to care for in the fall.  Now, after my freak-out post yesterday you may not be interested, but I thought I'd mention it.  She really is very good.  :)

    This on problem 2!  I used care.com to post my job description for exactly what we were looking for, for in home care.  Our nanny is awesome!  Good luck!
