3rd Trimester

NOT peeing all the time, opposite of every other pee post

So, I'm beginning to think I'm the only one that doesn't pee 200 times a day or night. Sure, I'm peeing more, but not the 30 minutes it seems everyone is complaining about. I go probably once an hour to two hours during the day and only wake up in the middle of the night once, after about four hours.

I'm only 32 weeks, and I assume when baby shifts it might be worse (though at my last appt. they said he was head down). I drink plenty of fluids, and have GD which usually constitutes urinating more. And I'm also not getting the little leaks when baby kicks my bladder.

So, who here isn't peeing like a race horse? I can't possibly be the only one.

Re: NOT peeing all the time, opposite of every other pee post

  • It's weird because I notice that I pee a lot in the AM probably 10 effing times (in about a 2hr span of time) but then the rest of the day only 2-3x.... Then at night when I'm getting comfy in bed I start having to pee a lot again. I have no explanation for it but its been going on this way for a while now.. :|

  • I pee a lot more than I normally did...that being said I usually would pee once when I wake up, once at work, and twice at night (on average). Now I pee approxiamately every 2-3 hours at work. I don't even consistently pee at night when I'm a sleep. Sometimes I wake up around 3ish and pee and other times I sleep through the night (a restless sleep albeit).  As for as I know my LO has been head down the whole time as well...I also drink the same amount of water throughout my day as I did pre-preg.

  • I'm the same way. I definitely pee a little more than usual but not much. I usually get up once a night to pee (never did before pregnant) but that's it. I drink plenty of water too. There are times that LO is on my bladder and I feel like I need to pee but I can usually tell a difference between just feeling like I have to or definitely have to.
  • I am not either, but mone is because I am usually dehydrated so when I do it's dark dark orange/almost red. I try and try to drink more water (that's it) but I am just not thirsty. It's a side effect of the gastric bypass surgery I had 7 years ago. I force myself to drink water all day, because I know it's just going to get worse as it gets hotter and I get further along.

  • I'm not peeing like a racehorse, not even every 30 min. At least not during the day. I drink 32-64 oz of water every day and I pee maybe every 1-2 hours, until about 3 or 4. After 3 pm it kicks up to once almost every hour.

I am, however, experiencing the trickles when baby headbutts the bladder, but that just started this last week.

  • I'm with you. I still manage to make it through most nights without waking up to run to the bathroom. I attribute it to a bladder of steel and a baby who's still swimming around my ribcage!

This. Except for the occasional mini-sniss, I feel like I can hold my pee really well. I've only woken up to pee a handful of times and usually I could have handled waiting if I had to. I'd much rather sleep and hold in the pee lol.

  • I could have written this exact post and I know I drink plenty of fluids. I pee more than pre-pg, just not as often as some other ladies. Guess we can't really complain!

  • I was the same way, peeing maybe once or twice a night and multiple times during the day. But I had an NST yesterday (diabetes related) and was found to be contracting although I couldn't feel it. The nurse thought it was because I was dehydrated and not drinking enough water. So now I am drinking a ton more water and am now in the same boat as the other ladies who pee a ridiculous amount....maybe you should keep an eye on your water intake...I for sure thought I was getting enough but apparently not...

  • I'm just like you; I wake up once per night and don't pee that often during the day. In fact sometimes I can't understand what happens to all the water I drink!
