Mason - Pediatrician/Daycare Recs

Hi our family is relocating to Mason from the Chicago, IL area in June.   I'm looking for pediatrician recommendations in the Mason area.  We have 2 boys ages 18 months & 3 1/2.

I'm also touring some daycares this week: Goddard School on Socialville-Foster, Kids R Kids and Childtime in Mason - any reccomendations or thoughts for any of these centers?

Any info you ladies have to share is appreciated!

  • We go to Suburban Pediatrics in Mason. We see Dr. Robert Wallace, and Dr. DuMont regularly. In fact we were just there today for my daughter's well visit.

The only Dr. in that practice that I do NOT recommend is Dr. Heyman.

  • Welcome to the area!  I have not heard great things about Childtime.

I work at a center in Mason (you can PM me if you want more info).  Here is a huge list of other centers in the area https://www.masonmetu.com/preschools.php

Our pediatrician practice is Northeast Pediatrics.  The Landen office (with the Mason address) is brand new.  We have been happy there (have seen several of the doctors).

We go to Suburban Pediatrics too. Except we see Dr. Pleatman most often. They've been great so far. We've seen a lot of the doctor's and NP's, and have been very happy with all of them (I've never had an experience with Dr. Heyman, but have hear the same as PP stated).

  • Just moved here in January and had to see a geneticist at Cincy Childrens last fall for my DD.  He recommended Suburban Pediatrics and that's where we take Cerys.  She's 11 months.  We like them so far!  They have great hours and are very helpful for those later evening phone calls!

We use the Liberty Township office but I hear great things about all their offices.  We don't have a set doctor yet, but thus far the NP and doctor I've met have been great!

    Welcome to the area!

  • I have also not heard good things about Childtime from a co-worker.  She has her son at the Goddard on Socialville-Foster.  She is VERY picky about where she sends her children to daycare.

My son is in an in home daycare though because of costs.  If I were to put him in daycare I would send him to Compass School.

We see Dr. Hable at Muddy Creek Pediatrics.  We have no complaints, as DH's mother works there Wink

I am also going with Suburban Pediatric Associates. I was referred to them and just met with them last night. They said that Dr. Heyman is not accepting any additional patients, so dont worry about that one. I was referred to Ringel and we met with Johnson last night.

They have a Pre-natal visit that they like you to attend. They are one evening a week for prospective new parents. We met with a Nurse Practitioner and she gave us a bunch of info and then a doctor came in to see if we had additional questions that he could help with. They showed us the rooms and when to schedule well appointments during the first year.
