Supplemental Nursing System

My lactation Consultant has decided that this is my last resort to help increase my supply but keep him fed as I am doing everything else they have asked me to do.

They said I may never increase my supply (some people with PCOS just never get their supply up) but this will keep him interested in the boobs and help him stimulate them.

I have to call in the morning to make the appointment to go in and have a feeding session with him to make sure I know how to use it and get it.

Anyone used one before?

No help/advice but I am so proud of you for sticking it out this far! Did you ask on the BF board?

We used one briefly. I don't think my experience would be much help though - mine broke the first night we were home (5 days pp after my c/s) and I was so frustrated that's when I said fvck it I will pump and give him a bottle. Before that it worked OK but it was hard to get the little tube to stay put. I hope it helps you!

Yup, but only for a few days before my milk came in because we didn't supplement again until he was old enough for a bottle. It was a pain in the ass, I won't lie, but it's worth it. If you ever need to vent to someone re: PCOS and low supply despite doing everything "right", I'm here! ::hugs::
