My poor LO hates her carseat. I can't put her in it unless she is sleeping and then she will wake up midtrip and scream bloody murder like she is in a ton of pain. I take her out of it and she instantly stops crying. I had to stop tonight midtrip in order to calm her down. She just started doing this yesterday.
Any advice? I need to be able to leave the house!
Re: Hates the carseat....
Yup - it sucks! Really the only thing you can do is get out and go. Obviously make sure baby is fed, dry, and hopefully sleepy/sleeping but you can't stay locked up. Music can help and I just keep talking, singing to her.
My first did the same thing for the first few months off and on. But since he loves the car and has never had any issues. Once they can see out a bit better, that helps. Switching to a rear facing convertible helped a lot with my first as well.

yes, check the straps and change them if necessary. ours is ok while the car is moving, but to get her into it resulted in the loudest screaming from a baby that i have ever heard. dh moved the shoulder straps, which helps a bit, and we also loosen the straps completely to get her in and settled, then tighten after she's in. she still screams when you tighten her in, but it's like a one minute scream instead of a 5 minute, fight you as you try to get straps over her shoulders scream.

I have one too, but in the car I just tune to a dead station and turn up the static towards the backseat.
My LO also hates the carseat but enjoys the car and especially if we drive fast.
