Parenting after a Loss

Time to go back to work...

So Wednesday is D-Day. I'm a little excited, dreading it a pinch, but mostly just scared. What if I now hate my job because I have something more important than work politics and blah, blah, blah b.s. that used to be sooo urgent? I'm really glad I stayed out for 4 months, though. I wasn't even close to ready a month ago. Any pointers?

You'll be glad you decided to start in the middle of the week, so you have only a few days between your first day back and the weekend. I also thought the first day wasn't so bad, but I cried before heading out the second day back (I missed my munchkin). You get used to working, and I look so forward to coming home every evening.

  • No pointers, but lots of ((hugs)). I'm sure it will take a little getting used to....but you will do great.

Good luck! I have DH send me pictures when he's home with her. It's kind of bitter sweet. I love seeing pics, but it makes me want to go home. It is nice to get adult interaction though. I hope it goes well for you! Starting in the middle of the week is a great idea too. I went back on a busy week and it was awful. I ended up working 6 days that week Tongue Tied
