Do you remember my trump card? The "Never ever have I tried on a wedding dress"?

I lost my trump card. Big time.

DH & I have decided to renew our vows in 2 years (our 10 year anniversary) with an actual (small) formal ceremony, followed by a large reception/party. My boss offered me a discontinued gown from her collection for $200 and it's gorgeous and amazing and beautiful and fits me like a dream and, oh, it retails for $3k.

And I would totally PIP, but it's a secret (not even DH knows about the dress! He just knows that I'm going to get something special just for the ceremony and that it will be in budget). I will say that it's strapless, empire waisted, tight fitted thru the hips then it flairs out, with a small train. It's ivory lace over champaign gold satin and I love it and I cried when she offered it and I cried again when I tried it on. I'm thinking of forgoing a traditional veil because this is a renewal, and going with a short gold net pinned in my hair.
