Cleaning with Microfiber?

I read that you can use microfiber to do chem-free cleaning of the kitchen and bath.  Do you wet the microfiber? Do you use anything as an antiseptic? Vinegar? I'm thinking of using some old diaper liners since I have eleventy billion of those! WDYT?

Re: Cleaning with Microfiber?

  • I use microfiber towels instead of sponsors or other cloths. I use with vinegar mix.

  • Well, I use microfiber by itself to dust (I think diaper inserts would be fine).

For other surface cleaning, I use a solution of 1/2 vinegar 1/2 water, spray and wipe down.  For harder to clean surfaces (bathroom surfaces mostly) I use some baking soda, spray on the all purpose vinegar solution and wipe down.  I don't use MF on that, just cheap wash cloths.  I don't think MF would be particularly well suited for that, to be honest.

I agree.  MF is great for dusting but I have a slew of old t-shirts/cloth dipes that I use for my kitchen/bathroom cleaning.
