Kenz is sleeping 7ish hours at night, but I can't go more than 4 without pumping or I wake up feeling uncomfortable/engorged and keep waking up til I pump. On one hand it's good, because now I have 96 oz. in my freezer, but I am hoping to get more than 4 consecutive hours of sleep sometime soon.
Also, I have a hard time losing weight. (I had a hard time losing weight when training for a marathon, for goodness sakes) ... and I think that the sleep deprivation is contributing to me struggling to lose the last 13 lbs of my baby weight. I always read/hear about sleep being a factor in weight gain/loss, but what are moms supposed to do when the one time they need to lose weight the most is the time that they are seriously sleep deprived?
Re: When will my boobs STTN? Also, weight vent.
Have you tried taking tylenol or advil to help with the pain of engorgment? I have also heard that it would be helpful just to pump enough to make you feel comfortable not enough to empty the breast. This way your body isn't getting the message that milk is needed through the night.
Alice is sleeping about 7 hours and I'm dealing with some engorgment issues. I wake up about 5 hours max and feel uncomfortable. I don't own a pump so I just try to find better sleep positions that don't cause as much discomfort. By 7 hours I'm more than ready for Alice to eat.
I hope you can get some sleep soon. As for the weight, my one friend swears that if you continue to breast feed you will see the best weight loss around 6 months. I hope this is true!
This. If you keep pumping, it will be a never-ending cycle.
