DD Putting up her hair

I was wondering how many of you put bows, ponys, etc in your DD hair.  My DD bangs hang in her face so everyonce in a while she lets me put a ponytail in her hair, however she's pulled it out before and chewed on the ponytail holder.  I'm afraid she'll swallow it.

What do you do?

    Well i dont really have much advice... DD doesnt pull out her bows or ponytails.  umm you could try using those triangle clip thingys... (the kinda look like the shape of candy corn LOL)  i got some from Carter's and walmart that have like flowers and bows on them.... i pull DDs bangs to the side and clip them. Might try that...

    I'm in the sane boat. Barrettes are useless, since she can pull them out in a second. Daycare sometimes pulls it into a ponytail with a tiny elastic, but I'm unsure about the elastics since I'm afraid she'll eat one. I've also had a problem sometimes getting the elastic out - I've actually had to cut a few out. :-(

    I take it out when she naps. SHe has been good about leaving it alone...fingers crossed!!

    DD had just recently started pulling them out occasionally. They are definitely a choking hazard so I just watch out if she starts messing with her hair.

    Samantha doesnt pull hers out unless its already  started falling out. i also use the little elastics you get them for 2 bucks a walmart, they break easily if they are stretched so most the time they break when i take them out. i guess Samantha doesnt bother with them because i put them in her hair when she was quite young though.
