MN for Dominic

I could use some help thinking of a middle name that flows well with Dominic.  My other name option for a boy at this point is Nicholas David, and while I like the name, I know soooo many other boys named Nicholas.  Thanks in advance!

 Oh, and I should mention that our last name starts with a D, so keep initials in mind.  I've already spelled DAD with one of my brilliant ideas. :)

Spinoff: is it a bad idea to name a kid something that has the same beginning sound as your last name?  I've never really thought about naming a child until recently...

    no, i don't think it's a bad idea per se.  it definitely depends on what the first and last names are.  generally, i don't mind the first and last names beginning with the same sound.

    Dominic Michael

    Dominic Anthony

    Dominic William

    Dominic Vincent

    ETA: as long as initials don't spell A-S-S or PMS I think you're OK. No one is really going to make fun of it spelling DAD or DID.

    Dominic Michael.  That was my first choice for DS (and still my favorite name), however my husband didn't want to do Dominic as a first name.  DS is Nicolas Dominic :)

    My DS is Dominic! His name is Dominic Michael Christian (big Italian last name)

    So I vote Dominic Michael! We do double middle names and Christian is a family name for me...(Michael is also my brother's middle name so its family too)

    I think Dominic is getting more popular. I've been hearing it more and more lately (much to my chagrin!) Its jumped up on the SSA lists over the last few years.

    Thanks so much!  DH's name is Joseph and he's adamant about not using it.  I really like Dominic Michael (it's a family name for us as well).
