Anyone else experienced brown spotting?

I just went to the bathroom and noticed a little bit of thick brown spotting without odor on my panty liner and when I wiped. According to "Dr. Google," this could be early loss of my mucus plug? Which could be normal or not. I am going to wait and see if it happens again next time I go to the bathroom, then call my OB.

I am just wondering if any of you have experienced this now or in previous pregnancies??  I'm a little scared, and going to call my OB regardless. I just hope I'm not jumping the gun since I have an appointment on Wednesday.

    I get some every time we DTD - about 3 days after.  (I also had some in the first trimester too, before I was put on progesterone supplements)

    Have you had sex in the past couple days? That could definitely result in some spotting. Also if you did loose part of your mucus plug it's generally not a big deal.  They can regenerate, but I would probably still just let your OB know.  Like others said unless you are having other symptoms you are probably okay to wait until tomorrow.

    I would watch and see.  If you lose any more then call your doctor just to have them check to make sure your cervix is still closed. 

    I lost my plug last saturday and it started brown and continued to lose the rest over the next 2 days and it got lighter.  I then started having contractions on Sunday and Monday so she put me on medication to slow them down which worked.  On Sat and Sun I got the steroid shot due to my history of preterm labor.  Now I am on bed rest. 

    So while I am sure nothing is wrong, you need to check with your doctor.  Good Luck!

    Thanks ladies! So far, I have gone to the bathroom 3 times since then and everything has been completely clear and I haven't felt any cramps or contractions. LO has been moving around a lot too. I have calmed down a little now and think I will wait until tomorrow to see if I see anything else, but am definitely going to let my OB know. Thanks again for the advice, its so easy to get into panic mode when something out of the ordinary happens! :)
