  We got a Closetmaid Cubicals storage system - 2 by 4 cubes - and I'm really happy with it. Doesn't take up much space and can also use storage bins in fun colors. I got mine at Target because of gift cards but I'm pretty sure I saw them cheaper at Wal-mart.

  I've seen a couple of the girls post things similar to this idea in the past.  If you can sew, it would be an easy DIY project with some cute fabric.

  This is what I was going to suggest.  Here is a tutorial that I had bookmarked.  You can do any fabric and as big as you want or need.  I think it would be a great solution for you.

  See if you like these. They'res pretty flush against the wall and can sort of "hide" next to a glider of be hung high and such. I don't know if this was anything like you're looking for but thought I'd suggest it.
