Need some opinions - NTTCALR

I'm planning a surprise 60th for my mom in October...theme is Sweet Sassy 60. For centerpieces, I want to do high and low and alternate tables. The problem is that I can't decide what to do for the lower centerpieces. Here is the idea for the tall ones but I'm going to use fiber optic pink lights instead of the butterflies. Yes, the vases light up hot pink.

These are my options for short centerpieces:

This with black feathers:

or this with hot pink roses or another hot pink flower

What do you think?? I'm leaning towards the blumeboxes (the bottom) because I'm incorporating hot pink & zebra...plus I'm concerned about having feathers that close to a candle.

I personally love the feathers with the hurricane candle (I think that is what it is called). You could do pink feathers and then tie the candle with zebra patterned ribbons.

What a good daughter you are! Sounds like tons of fun!

Not sure about the good daughter thing but we will definitely have fun. I love the feathers and candles too but there's something about those boxes I really like too....I would make all three but I'm afraid it will get confusing!

I love the feathers! But I can understand being nervous with them that close to a candle... I don't think with it in a high hurricane that it'll do any thing though.

I can see why you'd want the other one though. It does fit better with the theme.

I could so see black and white feathers and a hot pink candle though.

I agree. I'm kinda one of those that if one is feathers, I like the other to kinda match, hence like the feathers. I also like xnbride's idea on feather color.

Definitely like the second one. Too many feathers for me if you do both. And, I have no idea where you're holding this party (i.e. is it at your house or a place you would have to clean it up afterwards?) but I would imagine there will be feathers every where by the end of the night...and that would be a pain to clean up.

I was going to chime in, I like black and pink- but I love this! (Black and White alone seems formal and less sweet or sassy) I like that the tall black ones are skinny so people can see around them too.

I found pink feathers that I may be able to use and I'm sure I can find zebra ribbon (that might be easier or more simple than black/white and pink candle......I'm so glad I asked opinions! Thanks! I have to see them now to decide I think which means I'm probably going to have to make one!

The party is in a hotel ballroom. I was concerned about feather clean up too and liked bringing some flowers into the mix; hence the blume boxes. Why does this have to be so hard???

Thanks! I love those boxes too...I found those first!! My mom deserves a big party. She's never had anything like this and it's her turn!
