Sciatic nerve pain

Anyone have any relief methods that actually work?  I sit all day at work and its been killing me lately.  I try to get up and move around and its not helping for too long.  I can't sit at my desk for more than an hour without having to get up and walk around for a few minutes.  Luckily I'm not that busy today, but there are times when I'm practically chained to the desk with work.

    They make seat cushions that will take the pressure off your tailbone while sitting, that might help.

    I ended up seeing a physical therapist for my sciatica and that helped a lot.

    2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!

    I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

    Mine goes away when I wear my Medela Belly Support band. You have to strap it tight but it moves the baby up off the nerve.

    I've been sitting on a birth ball (huge exercise ball) the last few days at work, and my sciatic pain is almost gone!!

    My midwife suggested I see a chiropractor when my pain got really bad.  I have been going once a week for about a month and a half and it is pretty much gone.

    I went to physical therapy and it went away.  A few weeks after I stopped going, it came back again.  The only thing that has helped me is to do the self massage by using a tennis ball in between my back and the wall.  The stretches I learned from PT also help.
