Looks like I might be a June Momma

I'm not sure if you guys saw my posts last Thursday about having some contractions and subsequently spending the day in L&D. The Dr. put me on bedrest until my appointment today just to make sure everything was ok. Well.... fortunately there is still no dilation but I have softened and shortened. I am now on strict bed rest until 34 weeks. At that point I'm allowed to go back to my regularly scheduled program and let her come at her own discretion. Seems a little crazy that I could be welcoming my baby in as early as 3 weeks and a few days! I'm hoping we make it a little further than that, but my docor is saying she will likely be here within a month.

I STILL HAVE SO MUCH MORE TO DO! Lol.

Oh my! I hope she stays put for a couple of months... or at least until after 34 weeks! T&P are with you and your little one!

Same here - my cervix is also soft and shortened and I'm also on bedrest. The worst part about it so far is how uncomfortable I am laying horizontal ALL day and night. My neck is killing me. But it's well worth it!

I'm very glad you have dilated at all -- hopefully it stays that way. I hope she decides to stay in way past 34 weeks! T&Ps to you.

I remember your posts about the contractions. Great to hear that there is no dialating and I hope she goes past the 34 weeks!! Smile

Hope she stays put as long as possible. You know, you can extend that bedrest yourself if it might help her cook a bit longer

I'm in the same boat! I'm off of my bed rest at 34 weeks and he's "allowed" to come anytime after that! so he could be born as soon as June 8th...which is scary! I'm 50% effaced already so I'm trying to behave as best I can on bed rest...I'm really looking forward to June 8th though

Glad to hear they got everything under control! FWIW, I am now a June mama too, will be having a c-section on June 30 at 36 weeks due to Vasa Previa. It's a little scary to have a preemie, but I've done a bunch of reading about it and it sounds like the technology is great nowadays so there shouldn't be any problems.

was the contractions the only thing that was different or were there other things that happened? i been having a lot of pressure and lower back pain and what i think maybe either contractions or bh contractions and i tried talking to my doctor about it but she wont check me, she says i am fine and this baby wont come early even though my first was born at 36 weeks and i had a lot of the same pain and pressure as i do now. i have been trying to find some ppl who i can talk to about it and who wont think im crazy lol
