No baby today and the are thinking that we might be able to make it until next Tuesday! We have another biophysical profile Saturday at 2. We'll probably have another on Tuesday.
Today little G looked much better. He was moving (which he wasn't doing on Sunday or Tuesday) and my fluid had gone up to 9.3! (it was 7.3 Sunday). The pressures in the cerebral artery and umbilical cord are till off, but the ductus (which they couldn't measure last time) was normal. This is what caused everyone to jump for joy.
Bottom line, this baby is still coming early, but he is going to make it to 32 weeks. I had Magnesium Sulfate this morning and let me tell you, that is some nasty stuff. I was totally out of it, but it cuts the risk of cerebral palsy by 50%, so I said "shoot me up". I get it again on Saturday and again on Tuesday because you have to have it 6 hours before delivery and it isn't a "one shot" kind of thing. I've had both does of steroids and they have now had enough time to work. The longer he goes the better the effects of the steroids will be.
We've met with a million people and learned so much in the last 48hrs. I cannot believe this is my life right now.
Thankfully my sister is coming today. She will stay through Sunday to keep me company and give H time to do his finals and have a little time to himself instead of just running around for me. She is then going to take our dogs to my parents house for a couple weeks. I am pretty upset that this has to happen, but H and I can't handle the dogs with me being in the hospital and our little man being in the NICU. Once I am home and am sure I can go up and down the stairs without wanting to die my dad will drive down with some other family to bring the dogs back and meet Gabriel.
Oddly enough, one of the things I am most upset about in this whole situation is that I can't say goodbye to Cindy and Debbie before they go to my parents. But bringing them here to the parking lot for me to say goodbye would be worse. So, I am just going to have to suck it up. We'll all be reunited again soon.
Thanks for your continued T&P. I really appreciate it. Things are still going to be rough, and he'll still be in the NICU for 4-6 weeks, but making it to Tuesday will be HUGE for him.
Re: Girls, your T&P are working!
Wow! That a lot of good news! Although, I've heard that the magnesium sulfate is a bia, so I'm sorry to hear you have to have it.
I can just imagine how torn up you are about C&D. Your decision to have them at your parents though really is the best for them, so try to think of that instead of the fact that you don't get to say a proper goodbye.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

Wonderful news! I am glad to hear that things are looking good. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and Gabriel.
I know how much you love your pups, they know that too. They will have a nice vacation at your parents house until you and baby are ready for them to come home.
After 2 years, Injects, PCOS diagnosis and 2 IUI's, we were blessed with our beautiful twin girls!
Baby Girl #3!
I know it's tough that your dogs are kind of getting shuffled about but they will be home soon and so happy to see you.
Thank GOD! I am so happy that you and your LO are doing well!

Yay! I'm so glad for a positive update!
I've been thinking about you, and sending lots of prayers your way! I am glad to hear things are looking up, and that your little guy will be able to stay put for a little while longer.
Something silly but you could always talk to Cindy & Debbie through the phone (ha ha...I know I'm a nut!)...But sometimes when I've been gone all day and I'm stuck at work the dogs will hear me through the phone and Andy says they perk up quite a bit when they hear my voice...So he'll hold the phone up to them and I can hear them sniff or lick the phone - lol
I'm sure it's just me being a silly dog mom, but it makes me feel better? So maybe you could tell them they're going on a little vacation for a bit, but that they will be back shortly?
ha ha
I am hoping for the best for You, glad to know your sister is coming to help out too
