no fail whole family....?? errrr, that's a tough one
Swedish meatballs with noodles are always a hit.
Cauliflower with melted cheese on top....
That's all I can really think of. DD1 might as well be on a raw foods/vegetarian diet. DD2 eats anything and everything. DH is a meat and potatoes guy + very picky and won't eat too healthy, and I like more healthy foods....so it's hard to please everyone! I do my best to include something everyone likes in each meal: save some raw veggies for DD1, have some sort of meat for DH, pasta or rice at almost every meal (DD1 likes that)...

chicken picatta with peas or broccoli on the side -- take boneless chicken breast and slice through to make 2 thinner cutlets. Pound flat if you like thinner. Strike with salt & pepper, dredge in flour and cook up in combo olive oil and butter. Set aside and keep warm (I just set aside). Deglaze pan with dry white wine and chicken broth. Put some chicken better than bullion in or chicken bullion cubes. Can mix some chicken broth with flour or corn starch for a thicker sauce. Add in fresh squeezed lemon juice and some parsley (Italian). Serve sauce over chicken breast and spaghetti or other pasta.
Shrimp scampi -- kids really love the pasta and will actually eat some of the shrimp (DS more than DD). I use Tyler Florence's recipe.
And lately, sushi, really sashimi -- salmon and seared tuna. Crazy!
We like this turkey with mashed potatoes and green beans; I actually use all 3 tbsp. mustard (I use Grey Poupon country dijon) in the marinade and skip making the glaze. The girls like it dipped in ketchup.
Combine garlic, 1/2 cup broth, 1/2 tsp. pepper and 1 tbsp. mustard to ziplock bag, add turkey. Seal and marinate in the fridge for 4 to 24 hours.
Preheat oven to 375?F. Heat oil in an oven-safe skillet on medium-high. Cook turkey until browned on all sides; sprinkle with salt and 1/2 tsp. pepper. Add 1/2 cup broth and bake for 25 minutes. Remove turkey and set on plate, cover with foil to keep warm.
Make glaze: Combine 1/2 cup broth, 2 tbsp. water and 2 tbsp. mustard; pour into pan. Whisk or use a wooden spoon to scrape up the browned bits and heat the glaze through. Cut turkey on a diagonal and pour on glaze.

Another one that three out of four of us like is pesto pasta with shrimp and scallops. (As I posted below, DD1 doesn't like it yet, but she has to try it each time and then can have plain pasta. Meanwhile DD2 finished my plate the first time she tried it!) I don't use measurements for this one so this is really just a guideline:
To make pesto: Combine 1 (6 oz.) bag baby spinach, a couple handfuls of basil, 3 cloves garlic, 2 tbsp. toasted pine nuts, and 1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper in a food processor and blend to a smooth paste. (You can add 1/2 cup grated Parmesan -- I don't use it since DH doesn't eat cheese -- or use your favorite recipe or storebought pesto instead. This makes more than needed for this recipe, so I just freeze the extra.)
To make shrimp: Cook pasta of choice (we usually do whole wheat linguine). While pasta cooks, saut? 2-3 cloves minced garlic in evoo. Add shrimp and scallops (we use 1 lb. each but DH eats a lot) in a single layer and cook 2-3 minutes on each side; transfer shrimp and scallops to a plate. Add 1-2 cups halved grape tomatoes and saut? 3-4 minutes. Add cooked pasta to pan along with 1/4 cup pesto and 1/4 cup water; stir to combine. Stir in cooked shrimp and scallops.

taco night is always a hit. DS gets a spoonful of meat, a spoonful of refried beans, a spoonful of rice, some cheese and tortilla chips. He sprinkles cheese over everything and then uses his chips as his spoon.
Shepard's pie is also a hit. it's got everything DS loves, meat, carrots, peas, and mashed potatoes.
Meatloaf and mashed potatoes are also well loved by DH and DS.

This recipe from DH's Grandma is a favorite in our house! DD1 tends to be pretty picky, but she really likes this. For the chicken I usually let it cook in the crockpot all day so it falls apart easy.
Easy Chicken Divan
2 10 oz. pkgs. frozen broccoli or 2 bunches fresh broccoli 2 cups sliced cooked chicken or 3 chicken breasts, cooked and boned 2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup 1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing 1 tsp. lemon juice 1/2 tsp. curry powder 1/2-1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs 1 tsp butter or margarine melted
Cook broccoli in boiling water until tender, drain. Arrange broccoli in greased 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 z 1 1/2 baking dish. Place chicken on top. Combine soup, mayonnaise, lemon juice and curry powder. Pour over chicken. Sprinkle with cheese. Combine bread crumbs and butter---sprinkle over all. Bake in moderate oven (350) for 25 to 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Makes 6-8 servings
Spaghetti and meatballs, baked chicken and gravy with corn and rice, red beans and rice with pork chops or meatloaf with mashed potatoes and any vegetable (but I typically serve green beans or peas with it).
My kid will only eat my meatloaf or meatballs. Sometimes my hamburgers or homemade french fries. He won't touch anything resembling a casserole. He won't even eat my homemade mac and cheese- he prefers the blue box, ugh.
These lasagna rolls. They are SO easy to make, much easier then regular lasagna. Both of my kids gobble them up, and my H loves them too. I use cottage cheese instead of ricotta because I think it tastes better:

Whole wheat pasta with alfredo sauce and broccoli
Add a little garlic bread and BAM you're done!
Steam the broccoli, add it to the bowl of pasta and alfredo and you're done.
Spaghetti with garlic toast (DD usually gets the noodles with parm cheese on them as she's so messy with spaghetti sauce)
or
Marinated pork loin with mashed potatoes and a veggie.
