Yeah, I'm not sure that it's helping. I think she's doing pretty well - she's had so many changes in the past week. 2 shelters, then a foster family, lot's of travelling in between (she came from New Mexico). So, I think the fact that she's holding it together is pretty great. The barking was about 20 minutes every time, getting closer to 10 minutes now. So we're making progress! Just slowly...

You come home and find the couch cushions stacked around the puppys crate, covered by every beach towel, bath towel and blanket we own.
Apparently she was barking so DH got creative.
We had a litter of puppies last summer and I went out of town for a few days and when I came back, DH (Fiance at the time) had covered the living room floor with plastic drop cloth (like when you paint a room) and put blankets and towels over the drop cloth. We had the puppies in thier own little area in the living room, but every time we would take them out to play, they would go potty, so he got creative, too.
Good thinking on your DH's part.

Yeah. Tell me about it.
Riley was such an easy puppy. But I got him in the middle of the summer, and I took almost 3 weeks off of work when he came home. So I was able to spend so much time with him. With Stella, the weater is crappy, we're both working, so it's just harder.
But one nuzzle of her big soft, spotted, belly and I don't care. It's so worth it!

This weather is terrible. I'm so sick of snow right now.
We are going tonight to check out the first puppy that we are considering.
Tucker whined in the crate for about 20 minutes the first time he was in it and then never again. He only needed to pee in the middle of the night for the first 2 nights and didn't have any accidents after about 12 weeks. He was magically easy.
I think we're in for it this time but I'm excited.
Hey we'll be in Denver Saturday we're going to the rockies game. Are you around this weekend?
