It's not that I don't think my husband would do them for me (he keeps talking about when we will start) and it's not that I don't feel absolutely comfortable with my husband. However, I know lately I am so easily frustrated and I'm afraid that if he does the massage it will end up hurting me and in turn will frustrate me and will in turn make me tense up defeating the whole purpose.
So I'm curious if any of you ladies do them alone and if so do you have any tips that makes it easier. If I can't get it to work myself then I will have DH help but I would rather do it myself if possible first before having him help out.
Thanks a million ladies!
Re: Anyone do perineal massage alone?
I have heard it, I don't know where, I actually think it was something that was said in a post from yesterday. I can say that when my Dr. asked she suggested that I do them and said that it should help. Then my sister's Dr. did them during labor, so my opinion is, if my Dr. says that it works I will trust her, and that would be for sure over a birth class instructor, that's just my opinion though. But then again even Dr.'s don't know everything!
